Latare Sunday ....

  Fourth Sunday of Lent 

This Sunday gets its name from the first word in the opening antiphon rejoice which in Latin is latare

Opening Antiphon
Is 66: 10-11

Rejoice, Jerusalem, and all who love her.
Be joyful, all who were in mourning;
exult and be satisfied at her consoling breast.

 

And to note that we are closer to the rejoicing season of Easter the vestment color may be rose.
